Dress code?
We kindly request formal attire—suits and ties, dresses, or jumpsuits are all welcome. That said, we’ll be lakeside in July, so keep comfort and weather in mind! Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on the lawn (weather permitting), but the remainder of the evening’s festivities will be indoors.
If you feel festive, our wedding colors will be reds, whites, and blues!
Where is the ceremony/reception taking place?
All wedding day events, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, will take place on-site at the Valcour Inn & Boathouse.
How do I RSVP?
To RSVP, simply enter your name on the RSVP tab and press enter. Your name—and the names of any guests in your party—will appear, and you’ll be able to update your RSVP directly. If we've included a guest for you, they’ll be listed as well.
Prefer to RSVP another way? You’re always welcome to call or text the bride or groom to let us know your plans—we’d love to hear from you either way!
What time does the wedding start and end?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m., followed by cocktail hour and the reception. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m., with music and dancing to follow. We'll keep the party going until 11:00 p.m., when we'll need to turn the volume down for the night.
Is there parking on site?
Yes, plenty of parking will be available, just a short distance away from all the wedding activities. Please drive responsibly!

Where should I stay?
Five accommodations are reserved for your stay during the wedding weekend; they range from more rustic cabin stays on the lake to more formal accommodations in Plattsburgh itself. When booking, please let them know you're joining from the PHIPPS WEDDING on July 5th, and they'll secure your reservation in the appropriate room block. If you have any questions, call or text Amanda or Stephen. These are recommended but if you'd like to stay elsewhere, please feel free!
Where are the bride and groom staying?
Amanda and Stephen will be staying on-site at Valcour Inn and Cottage, which will be fully reserved for the bridal party and immediate families.
Where is Valcour, New York?
Valcour, New York, is a small hamlet located in Clinton County, on the western shore of Lake Champlain in the northeastern part of New York State. It’s close to the city of Plattsburgh, where Stephen went to college. The area is known for its historical significance, particularly Valcour Island, the site of a pivotal Revolutionary War battle.
This venue is also special to us because it’s near the Phipps Cabin, where Stephen and I got engaged. This region holds deep personal meaning for us, and we’re excited to celebrate our wedding in such a beautiful place.
